Project Description: This research has three main
aims:
- Conduct a literature review to refine a novel implementation model of
a clinically integrated Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) implementation that would
help clinicians prioritize evidence-based interventions.
- Refine and pilot
test the integrated HRA technology with a primary care practice-based network
to determine feasibility of implementation and efficacy of instrument.

Conduct RCT to examine impact of HRA approach on patient outcomes.
Career Goals: Dr. Nagykaldi is an Assistant
Professor of Research and Clinical IT [Information Technology] Specialist in the College of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (UOHSC). He received his Ph.D.
from Semmelwis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. He was awarded a
post-doc at UOHSC in cardiac electrophysiology and went on to complete his
health IT training in primary care, design/application. Dr. Nagykaldi served
one year at National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Aging (NIH/NIA) in Research and Collaboration and also did a one year
pharmacy internship in Oklahoma City. His career goal is to incorporate health
information technology into practice-based research in order to enhance the
synthesis of information and bridge the gap between science and clinical
practice.
Progress to Date: This award is in its first
year.
